Read if you took your mud flaps off!

Ok... all of you who took the mud flaps off, what did you do with that piece of plastic that goes up the inside of the fender from the mud flap to the bed rail? It was being held by a push pin with the mud flap, if you need me to take a pic let me know. Also, I wish someone made a completely enclosed inner fender well to keep everything out from up under the truck!

This might be something that only you new model rangers have, cause I have no idea what your talking about. I just unscrewed mine and they came off. There wasn't anything hanging or unsecured.

Hmm. I have fender flares so it may be different. I had a hole on the bottom lip of the bed. Just put a bolt thru it.

I have a hole in the bottom of the bed too, I used the push pin from the mud flap to hold it there, but last night while mudding I guess it ripped it out and I was wondering what you all did to hold yours!

you had the flappy rear mud flaps not the hard right ? with the metal brace. there was a nut that bolted the bracket to the fender? then a bolt up top holding the brake up.. take that bolt and that nut and use them right there.. they are the same thread...

My ranger has something silimar. I current am running it on one side, and the other I havn't got around to putting it back on. Since you removed you brackets, I'd make a new "bed stabilizer". Or something to tie the frame in with the bottom of the bedside. And then connect it to that.

Or you could just pull those inner linings out.

That plastic is there to keep stones from denting the bed from the inside and to keep mud and dirt from building up and causing rust in the rear quarter panel. I'd just secure it to the bottom hole in the quarter panel with either a bolt or a new push pin.
