Wow, sorry to be a ***** of the group, but whoever was driving those jeeps shouldn't be driving in the mud.
I know a thing or two about mud...and it wouldn't even take 1 jeep to pull you out. I've been pulled out by a 4x4 atv plenty of times before when I was *over my tire* in mud, framed out.
It shouldn't take but on quick yank to get you out.

It would take 1 jeep in 2wd with a slight tug. You aren't even in mud to the center cap :)

I play in the mud almost every day. I mean, I take your word for it you are stuck, but I mean, it shouldn't take 2 jeeps to get you out. The rule of thumb is that the truck doing the pulling has to be at least 'equal' to the one stuck.
(i.e., if a 4x4 chevy on 35's gets stuck, he'll need a 150/1500 on 35's to get him out...if a 2wd ranger on 33's gets stuck, it will need a mid size truck on 33's to get out too...it's all weight)
I'm on 33's and when I get stuck, I get stuck...I bury myself up to the cabline in muck and it doens't even take a lot to get me out...
Bottom line of what I'm saying is that it should have only taken 1 jeep to get you out, and you were saying how it took you 2 jeeps to get out. To outsiders it just sounds funny...especially people who do this every weekend. I mean, your on street tires, it doesn't even look like your lifted much, and you had to get yanked by 2 jeeps...just makes those jeeps look weak If it was a ranger, you would have been out no problem. From the pics it doesn't even look like you were up to the rims in mud??? I may be way off on what I'm saying about your pics though, they are really hard to see.
But I'm not trying to be mean, I just do this all the time and I can't see how it would take 2 jeeps to get you out??? I mean a 4x4 atv could pull you out EASY from what it looks like.

well like i said, my drive wheel was all the way buried, i have the 3 inch fabtech lift on 31 inch bfg all terrains in very very thick mud, it probably could have been done with one jeep but 2 made it that much quicker, but we tried and tried with just one on 33'' goodyear mtr's in 4 wheel low, probably just didnt find the right spot to pull me out

I'm on 33" muds and I *was* on a full spool in the rear. I was stuck to my doors in muck. I had a 99 xlt 4 banger 2wd on 33" coopers with an open rear end pull me out. He was in the mud too...
All he did was give the rope about 10ft of slack, drop the clutch and pull, it took him 2 tries. The first try he just dug down, so he backed up, moved over about 5ft so he didn't drop in his old ruts, hit the gas and dropped the clutch again. Wasn't a hard yank at all. It's all how you do it.
I pulled an 03 4x4 on 35's out of the MUCK, he was stuck up past his doors in it. All I did was givve the rope about 15ft of slack, and just go for it. It took me about 6 or 7 tries, but I did it no problem. BTW, I was fully loaded down with an ATV in the back AND I was pulling him UP an airboat ramp
