I must say...

I have owned plenty of vehicles. and by far the worst i have ever owned was my '02 ranger . it makes me sad to know i never know if im going to make it where im going . it doesnt even have 74k miles on it and im scared as hell to drive it ..

this is coming from a former mechanic ! the thing is unstable as all hell , has TONS of gremlins .. and dont even get me started on the cab leaks , 3 at least , that leave me carpetless now due to mold ......

How they sell these things and how they stay on the road for so long , ill have no idea. . im gettin rid of mine as soon as possible and buying a real truck . no longer will i be a ford fan boy . ive faught tooth and nail for ford for many years , but this product has put the last nail in the coffin for me .

am i alone here or what ? anybody else disgusted with their ranger and its cheap quality ? you know why they are easy to work on .. because they break everyday . Ford Or Repair Daily is NO joke in my book .

thanks Ford. Thanks alot . Ill be over at the Dodge dealer where parts might cost 3x as much , but they dont break 10 times as often .

My ranger was awsome and when i buy my new truck it will be a ford f150
never had any problems with ford so must either have poor maitnance with your truck or you just got a lemon
Also as far as going to dodge, i hear nothing but troubles with dodge and to many people saying they should have gone ford, so go ahead and buy a dodge, let us know how long that works out(heard lots or problems with driveline and motor)

There are exceptions to every rule. Other than the tranny going at about 95,000 I haven't had any real problems with mine. I'm keeping this thing til the frame rusts out from under me!

ive pulled the transmission twice now . i have proper maintenance on my truck . i take care of my vehicles , but i dont baby them either . chances are i got a lemon. but its the last sour ford is giving me .

as for Dodge not being reliable , ive never seen a truck more reliable then the 86 ram we had . I have plenty of friends with mid 90's dodges and 200,000 on them still going strong as hell. the ranger is a throw away mini truck . ill be lucky to get 7500 for mine . a few years ago i paid almost 11k for it . 40k miles later im ready to set it on fire in an orange grove . its not like this thing has to deal with snow and killer cold weather.. its freaking florida . nothing goes bad on cars here but tires and windshield wipers! I want my 318 back .

The credibility of your knowledge of vehicles went out the window when you said you would go to Dodge. I just Lawl'd. There are things that I like and things that I do not like about my truck. Must of them are that it is a pick-up truck and I want a luxury car, so it's not a "RANGER problem" just my taste.

In my family we have owned a few Dodge vehicles and they are money pits. Abosuletly unbelievable what would go wrong. Mainly Window motors and Door locks would break within 6 months. Brakes would wear uneven, A/C compressors and other parts would erode away.

DODGE is the biggest pile of crap you can buy. I dont know what your problems with your ranger are, but Mine is an 02 as well and I have never had a major or even minor problem and my truck has been in an accident.

Sounds like you just got unlucky with your truck. I have only had one problem with my truck, and that was a simple fix.

I'm with everyone else..... my Ranger is great. No problems. I treat it like hell, and it still stands up to the abuse!! My next vehicle will be an F-150 or F-250. Go Ford!! Go ahead and head over to Dodge. Let us know how that Dodge Neon treats you.

your personal insults are not needed . i asked if any ppl are having as many problems with their lemons, i mean rangers as i am . you know nothing of my knowledge on vehicles. i have many years of mechanical work under my belt, and my opinion of ford atm is the same opinion you have of dodge . but i am not going to call you stupid for liking one vehicle over another . thanks for being childish

point is, we all get lemons, and you got one, and if you dont like it, get rid of it, idk why everyone on here cares what you do with it, from personal experience with all of the big 3, ford lasts the best, chevy 2nd, dodge 3rd, we use whatever vehicle we can for work vehicles, just pop an eagle lift gate on it and a few toolboxes, all 4 dodges we have spent the most money on, about 10 grand so far, 5 fords almost nothing if that, and chevy about 5 grand, all hauling heavy appliances all day long

I had a Mopar product, hated it and bought my Bronco. My bronco has had it's fair share of problems, mainly because it's 15 years old, has 255,000 miles on it and has been beat to hell since it was bought brand new. I bought my 02 ranger for gas milage and its been excellent to me, up until today when I took it on to get the Recall stuff done and i think they did something to it because it's not as peppy as it has been. I'll support Ford for this reason, I refuse to own another Mopar unless its a cummins, and only for the cummins. I refuse to own a GM product because I'm sorry, they're garbage. Buddy of mine was a GM sellout for years, bought a Ford, and is looking to buy another one this week.
