Crazy Problem!

ok so its a 1988 Ranger 4x4 v6 manual.
now when its driven in the winter, morning time, starts right up. after engines gets hot and you shut it off, wont start til its cooled off. aprox. 30 mins later.. even worse in the summer when its already hot out.

any ideas what this would be? is it the coil?

Whats it do? Does it crank? If not it could be the starter. If it does, than maybe the ignition module in the distributor.
