I have stock shocks on my truck, however, I wanna get better ones but dont have too much $$$ to blow. What are some good shocks I can get and around what are prices installed?

Also, RED shocks would be a plus :supz: Than I can have the whole red/black thing going still.

Pictures also would be cool and shock prices/instaltion prices

Edelbrock Performer IAS. 70$ each + 80$ or so to install.
They are red with black boots.
(I have them on my truck)

Are you implying you want someone else to intall the shocks for you? If you can change a tire you can install a set of shocks, dude.

If you want the red look get Ranchos or Procomps with red boots. They are the same shock, just different name. For installation, heck I'll help ya do it. Only takes about an hour and that includes taking tires off and such. Its really easy.

Yea.... you see you "CAN" do it with out taking the tires off, but it can be done in half the time with the tires off. Only the front though, you just crawl under the back. (I know, I have dont it both ways. I took shocks off and put them on about 10-15 times so far)

Thats just lazy, and it would be more convenient and easier with the tire off. And I would jack the truck up, also to droop the suspension before removing the shocks.

Those shocks are NOT great for jumping. You need to modify your truck, check your warranty and your bank account, and get proper safety restraints before you think about jumping a truck

04EDGE, your misinformation has the potential to get someone seriously hurt. Please stop posting.

I realize you don't want to jump your truck, I was just making it plain what the shocks were and weren't good for.

I don't know much about KYB shocks for truck applications but they sound alright.

My 2000 Ranger isn't my only truck.

KYB shocks alone aren't going to make a truck worthy of jumping, which is the POINT I AM TRYING TO GET ACROSS. Your truck was stock when you jumped it and broke it pretty well, who cares if you were about to upgrade? You still proved a stock truck can't handle that kind of abuse, yet you still say "KYB shocks alone are great for jumping"

By the way, I asked you to stop posting. I didn't "tell" you to stop posting, I was trying to get you to stop posting misinformation which could get someone hurt.
