You guys are funny. To be honest I really dont care what I drive. I can make it so I like and will be happy with it. I was sick of the ranger and wanted bigger and taller.. And when It comes down to it I bet everyone would rather have a duramax then there ranger.
But I am going to go look at the s10 tonight. and it is loaded. Hopefully it is in good shape.

But what I do hear is that people that cut their coils are jealous because their coils are longer than their *****. HAHA! JK

+1 Looks so silly having an axle on top of the leaf pack. Sure a flip kit could fix it, but that is truly why dimes are best lowered (and easier too).

The only other kind of truck i would own if i dint have a Ranger is a f-150!
i almost got one instead of a Ranger , it was a 2003 Fx4 with 80K Leather seats, ex cab, climate control, spray on bedliner, flowmaster duals, etc....but it had more miles than i wanted to buy....so i wnet with my first love...the Ranger!

IMO, stray away from the S10. I've had a few buddies who have had them, and after riding in my NOT loaded 98 2.5L 5spd, they all said they'd rather have the Ranger. They said the interior of the Ranger is nicer, they have more room in the interior in a Ranger, and that the 2.5L>2.2L or whatever the S10 has. 2 buddies have the 4.3L and they're both gutless as well. I believe they were all about 2000ish or so year S10's, so they werent old worn out trucks that I'm comparing either.
We towed with a friend's grandpa's ext cab 4.3L S10, we were only towing a small trailer with a gas powered golf cart on it, and we got 11mpg. WTF. This truck empty gets like 12mpg.
If i were you, I'd take the Duramax over the S10. Get an EFI Live for that Duramax and wake it up

Oh my ***** is just fine. No complaints from women here. But I'd get the full size if I needed it and its sad how they get the about same mileage as my truck. In the other hand I want a fast car because I have more of a rush going down the quarter mile than I do offroading. I have the quad for offroading and that sometimes gets boring.

ranger turning radius > s-dime....greater than as in better. I drove an s10 for 3 months. My mom's 92 4x4 exploder had a better turning radius than the 2wd 2000 s10 i drove. AND I only drove it as it was a rental from my sister being in an accident. Sister got my mom's exploder and my mom said she'd take my old car. I'm not much of a fan on the interior of the older GM products either; though my gf's dad's 03 chevy dually isn't bad. Ford, and even some toyotas, make more sense with placement and subsequent ergonomics of interior controls and comfort.
