torsion bars, ball joints...help

i've heard from many of my friends that the brake pads (especially front ones) are crappy....especially from the factory...i find it now that my ABS will kick on just about anytime its wet, or im going downhill, and applying the brakes. i've heard about the ceramic pads that are quiet and wont leave brake dust, but i was wondering about the performance of these. which ones should i get for the best possible stopping potential?

maybe 5000 miles on 31x10.50 Goodyear AT/S......still has the nipples on em and everything....they're good and can grip like a homeless guy on a dollar bill....

my brakes have always kinda been crappy...just recently they're progressively gotten worse

also when i go rootin' and get mud and etc on the tires/rims, i've noticed i have a harder time stopping...even after the tires have cleaned themselves..i'm guessing that the mudhas gotten somehow in the rotor/caliper rubbing zone....eh....?

factory pads are the best!! I have 88000 on the OE pads still have /32nds (half of the pad) left..i have no problems with my brakes!! factory pads are hard!!.. made to last!
ceramics are great!!!! last longer and a whole lot less dust!...you may have a problem with your ABS ....
If youadjust up the rear brakes the pedal will behigher and harder.....BUT the rear may lock up if you adjust them to much!!

Ceramic pads are great. They dust a whole lot less, last longer, run cooler, and are quieter than semi-metalic. If your ABS is kicking on when it normally didn't, you probably have a wheel speed sensor going bad.

I replaced mine at 30,000 (they were beat) with Wagner ThermoQuiets -- a really strange ONE-PIECE brake pad. The backing, friction material, and cushioning material are cast in a single operation and sintered together somehow. They are much cleaner, and very quite and have more "grab".

I'll be switching mine to Green Stuff pads after I get new rims to avoid cleaning them once a week.
