how are you supposed to get it in gear?

if you look at the metal around it there's not room to move it for 5 or 6 gears if it was a manual..

you need to go look in the windows of a bunch of cars..

everything from honda's to some pick-up trucks have console mounted gear selectors.

I don't about it. It screams unique, but not really my style.

Look at it. It has no play to left or right, just front to back.

I highly doubt a manual would have the gears located in that pattern.

let me rephrase that .. im used to seeing automatics having the steering colum gear selector. and since both my parents cars are fords they have that same selector. i dont look at other peoples interiors that often

You see more console/floor shifters in autos than column shifters in newer cars.

well race cars have

Up Shift

Down Shift

or the other way around, but i doubt he had anything like that, and its really not a true manual.

Just a guess, after looking at the motor, could be a c4 transmission

what part of the trans are you gonna get your shoe lace caught in? the bell housing/torque converter/fly wheel are on the other side of the fire wall.

the rib cage is different, it almost looks like a work in progress.

the exhaust cut out in the bumper seems pretty well thought out, you can't just put some pipe in and have it work.
i dont have a problem with MSD, i just wouldnt wanna look at the box in the interior.

and im not talking about getting a lace caught in a moving part, just on something as you try to get out or just move your feet around while driving. though i dont think this thing drives anywhere.

Very cool, haven't seen much of anything on that truck else-where.

Not 100% sure about the wire rib interior (it looks like it's missing something or still being completed) but the rest is very unique/cool . . . impractical, but cool.

It's obviously under construction. As I said earlier, taking your under construction truck to the shows is all the rage right now. And RHD conversions are all the rage too, but I think they're completely stupid.

It looks like it might be a door so you can see the rear suspension.

And you would run the exhaust to the back . . . where?

He wanted to keep it simple as possible, mission accomplished.

Love the C10 (I believe it is), I think I'd love the Taco a bit more without the Tribal and in a "crew cab" body, the rims/headlights/tint/paint tie together perfect.

Quick Reply: Interesting Ranger.
