fun afternoon with ranger

yesterday i got my truck washed all nice for my graduation. i spent 20 and got basically a full detail in and out with tire shine and a hand sprayed wax. it thunderstormed like crazy last night and the car wash had a 72 hour warranty. i went today and got it washed again for free and i decided to try a claybar. its amazing.
only pic i have so far. ill get more tommorow, it got too dark.
yes i did take a pic of the "workers" pre washing my truck for the wash. thats the best car wash ive ever seen or heard of.

I have never heard of anyone taking pictures of their truck at a car wash before. I wouldn't let that brush near my truck. Looks good though.

I second that trigger... only 3 people are allowed to wash my truck and 2 of them took a certified detailing class

I would sooner leave my truck dirty then take it to a car wash. You never know what is struck in those spinning brushes. Most places have a sign "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS"

I would never take mine to something with brushes. Bye bye antenna. I've only taken mine to a car wash once, I normally do it myself.

I used to take my 69 F100 to the car wash even after I restored it. It came out with a bent antenna and they gave me like $15 for it. I later just bent it back and was fine.

i go to this car one carwash and guess what its my driveway i dont let any one touch my truck the only carwash i went to was one of those touchless ones and it did a crappy job so ive never gone to one since

if youve never used a claybar just do it you will def see a difference
i did it on my 01 ranger and saw some improvement then did it on my dads 93 acura and it made a huge difference

i wax it my self and i clay bared it my self. its kinda a 50 50 if i wash it or if they do. they do such a good job, and i get 10 % off, so its so easy to just go there. normally i spend 10$ and they do the outside, vaccum inside, wipe dash clean my rims and wash all the inside windows. they even use special stuff if you have aftermarket tint.

I quit goin to car washes when I saw a complete trolling outfit hungup in one of the spinning brushes. Im talking 1oz wieghts, ford fender, and lure.

Im just glad I was passenger when I saw that. As I woulda tweaked out if it woulda been my truck

Theres nothing state of the art about that place I worked at one of those when I was in high school watching it go through those brushes and what not mine was exactly identical.

If you only saw how much dirt come off those brushes at the end of the day when you hose them down...

maybe thats why they wash before hand too? idk. they definately change the pre wash water alot, and the rags for drying and stuff. i like it regardless.

They pre wash the cars cause the spinning brushes and curtain brush things don't really do anything. Me and my brother both worked at a car wash just like the one in the video. My brother still works for the same company as a manager. The horror stories I could tell you all about that place. Cars being run through too close together(even worse when its busy) Cars jumping the track. Mirrors, moldings, running boards being torn off. The spinning brush only being properly cleaned twice a year at most.
The drying towels are usually left a little damp so that if they see a spot not properly cleaned they can just wipe it off so that they dont have to send it through again. the towels are only used once and then washed But they are just washed in water no soap. You dont want to know what happens in the express detailing bays......
