Well I was coming home and I was turning onto a 3 lane road and the lane closest to me was clear, but at the last minute some guy changed lanes and bashed the crap out of me. Im ok, but I think they might total the truck . But if they do, Im gonna put the money towards a Mustang

the other guy changed lanes. Nothing illegal about that unless there was a double yellow line. it was just bad timing on your part.

Thats what Im hoping will happen. But Im afraid that he hit me so hard it bent the frame slightly. I was knocked 5-6 feet to get that far into the grass.

The only thing is, can you prove he switched lanes as you were pulling out? If not i'd bet you get cited for it!

Oh I just read the op, sounds like you're pretty ****ed. I guess if I were to try to defend myself I would try to find evidence that you showed you were hit by some retard changing lanes and not by someone who was in the lane exactly that you were in.

I honestly don't know why we don't buy insurance just to insure ourselves. I wish my medical and comprehensive insurance covered only myself and my vehicle. Not some other uninsured

Seeing as how I wasnt cited last night when I was there, I doubt Ill get cited. And My proof that I was in the lane and he came over rests in these photos:

I was already in my lane and accelerating. If i just pulled out and got hit I wouldnt be 35-40 feet down the road. And the long scrape on my fender isnt consistent with a 70-90 degree impact.

You should be ok. In General a good rule of thumb is if they hit you pulling out its your fault. As long as you are more than 25 ft from the turn, I belive it would be considered driving without due reguard for public safety, if he was passing someone on the right thats improper passing. so you should be ok, that looks like plenty of room.
