I've made my decision about my exhaust

I'm tired of the weedwacker honda prelude sound. Basically my exhaust has a high flow cat and a Magnaflow muffler so it's pretty close to being straight piped.

I'm switching out the Magnaflow to a Flowmaster 40 series DF. I'm not going to get much out of it powerwise with just bolt ons so I might as well make it sound decent anyway. I've heard enough sound clips and read enough reviews that this muffler will work better for me. -Mike-

Ive actually been looking for an exhaust but i want the load deep tone. I kinda like being the one the neighbors all yell at when i pass. Of corse it wont be worse than my hot rod with a v8 with a 26" long collector straight out of the header. but any advice on what will give me that deep load tone out of my 4.0.

IMO the 4.0 produces a cleaner deeper sound vs. the 3.0 so that gives you more flexibility for which muffler you choose. Flowmaster 40 series muffs and Magnaflows seems to be the 2 "top dog" on here.

I'm kinda curious myself. If you installed a glasspack in place of the muffler you have now and then y pipe it out the back, or even cut the exhaust more towards the cat. converter, install glasspack then y pipe it to a L style exhaust exiting before the rear tire. Just some thoughts. -Mike-
