i cant stand jeeps everyone has em. there are the few that stand out and you know someone that owns a jeep can fabricate, for once. other wise the rest went on a shopping spree at 4 wheel parts...
here is a pic of me and a few friends went on. we went to Guanala pass. here my truck is stock with 32's, 2 of my buddies with tacos on 35's and a 4.0 jeep wrangler on 33's. wow did i have a disadvantage.
i figured i was going to be left behind litterally. my tranny was slipping really bad this was befor i swapped out for a manual. i blew past the jeep like it was painted on the wall going up 285, laughed my *** off he had 1 litre on me.
totally pissed off everyone i was with. everything they were powering through i just cruised threw and made it look easy. my buddy Doug in the green taco had me do a rock section 3 times because he said i didn't follow his line, then he finally shut up, when i did it 3 times with no problems (stock).
jeep nearly tipped over in one section due to his wheel base. and got stuck in the wet logs with open diffs. the tacos made it threw no problem with there lockers on. then it was my turn they figured i was screwed cause i was open diffs, stock, and ford. sure enough i made it threw which pissed em all
off.
now when i go and hang out and it is 5 tacos 1 ranger and a couple jeeps i dont get teased as much anymore cause they have seen what my truck has done stock.
i love my little ranger if i was smart i would have kept it for work only and got a zj that had 4 link front and rear stock. and look bad ***. but to build any truck that can stand up. you have to replace the axles so why not do a little fabbing and have a one of a kind, as suppose to what everyone else has...
