Explains everything... Let me guess, you think you know everything, and that's why you can't take a little criticism. You come on to a pretty much public forum where people speak there mind. You can't expect people to "shut the **** up."

^ you know the only thing he's gonna get from that post is "welds will break"
he's going to proceed to tell you how amazing his welds are, and how they are never going to break. On top of making it on the honer role every year, he also instructs weekend classes on how to weld for people like you and I.
edit..forgot the popcorn

yeah i'm definitely not illiterate, or i wouldn't be able to read the threads dip-****, again, if i was a know it all, why would i come on hear and ask for advice?
the welds breaking is highly unlikely since i let them cool, on their own and didn't douse them,a slow cool lets the metal keep its flexibility while dousing the weld with cold water will temper the metal which in then turn makes the metal more brittle, more brittle metal would have a higher likely hood of breaking especially if heated up quickly and in cold conditions.

yeah your just so cool man, you probably don't even know what annealing or tempering metal is, annealing is heating up the metal and then letting it cool slowly, which makes it less brittle, tempering is cooling the metal quickly which makes it harder and brittle, i let it cool slowly, which means i annealed the metal making it softer and less not brittle.

BTW you should know that age, experience and treachery will always beat youth, enthusiasm and skill. These guys are just pullin your pud.
You might think about taking some of the advice you asked for when you started this thread. Then somebody might engage with you and give you some real wisdom, based on experience. Your call, I dont actually give a toss.
