Skip the stock cross member, make your own and build a custom bumper to go with it.

Dude. Sq tubing or rectangular tubing... Get a sawzall, cut out the old one. Weld in the new one. Not hard. Put a front hitch in it while you're at it.

I've got the welder at my house Marcus. Also got a steel plate to cut into as well. Just make one up in Styrofoam and then come over and weld it up

Oceana Salvage used to have a 1998 Ranger. And both Oceana and Pick and Pull has ALOT of explorers. (don't know if they'll interchange) If you want someone to come out and play, I'll help.

getting that involves cutting....torch or sawzall....some yards around here dont allow sawzalls, and cutting with a torch involves a $150 charge...

I'm off tomorrow marcus if you want to hit one up. Might talk to Bryan over on hrrangers. He's got a cordless sawzall.

I just called Oceana Salvage and Pick and Pull and they allow sawzalls.
