anyone use a plastic truck box

im not talking about the ones that go to the sides of the bed but ones that sit in the bed anyone have one? how do you like it? what did you pay for it? how big is it or what is the brand/model? how did you mount it to your truck? do you feel that it is pretty secure?

thanks

Jeff

Wowak had a pretty nice sized little box he said he picked up for next to nothing (<$30) at Wallmart. I've been keeping an eye open for something similar. It didn't look very secure. I think he had it bungied in, although I think he had a padlock on it, FWIW. For me the restricting factor is height. I want something that'll fit under the tonneau.. They make some nifty ones though, w/ slide out mini-drawers and all sorts of other weirdness. Amazing what they do w/ plastic..

I think you and I have seen the same thing. I didn't realize it bolted to the bed. I presume that'd require drilling though. Not sure how thrilled about that I'd be. Maybe if you used wingnuts so you could pull it out when/if needed. .. But Brian's was lighter and smaller than the one I think you're talking about..

I have an Action Packer (i think it's called) by rubbermaid. I have a couple pad locks on it and it fits nicely under the tonneau cover. Since i already had the tonneau cover i didnt get an over the rail type. It also removes easily to free up some space when moving
