What is the mileage limit on the warranty??????? I've got it too, worse than a *****.

Are you referring to the TSB for the timing chain rattle?

Warranty??? Who has that?

I just shift when it rattles but it stops when the engine reaches normal temp.

You have one chain and it's way cheaper and easier to do since you have a pushrod 4.0.

You sure about that, i coulda sworn i had chains front and rear. I did one on an explorer and i dont consider having to pull the motor easier(chain in the rear)

Only the 01 and up Rangers have the SOHC 4.0. Anything older has a pushrod 4.0 so just the one chain up front.

Well now that I have my stereo back in I can't hear the rattle. I used to use it as a shift point but now I just have to look at the weird faces people make when the rattle happens next to them then I shift.

well i have an 2002 i would of hoped ford fixed this problem in 2004, like i said this thing actually had a recall a 5 year 75k mile one and from what i was told if i would of brought it in at 90,000 miles and below i wouldn't of had to pay anything b/c it was still under the recall notice.
