Just picked up my dream Ranger

I have been looking for a gray super cab Fx4 for about 10 years. I didn't want to buy one new, the used hunt has been a long time coming. I finally found exactly what I wanted. But I am one happy camper right now. 2008 Super Cab Fx4 4.0 Picked it up for $9,600. Just felt like showing it off a bit.

I am sort of a purist. I really like to keep things original whenever possible. I need to replace the arm rest and I ordered new Fx4 decals for it. As well as new emblems for the grille and tail gate.

I did swap my 98 2.5L for this so I could pull a pop up camp trailer. So I am looking into ways to make this more camping friendly (ie: grille guard as I live in Utah and there are lots of deer, elk, moose, and antelope where camping spots are. and a bugflector... for bugs...)

I am open to suggestions though. Anyway to make this thing better while still keeping it from looking like a ***** extension?

It's kind of difficult to make a smaller truck like the Ranger come off this way. Now take an F150 or something and it's pretty easy.

Tinted windows, LED bulbs (turn signals, brake lights), aux reverse lights, blinker mod, and AVS rain guards (amongst others) are all fairly quick and cheap mods that enhance a vehicle's look without going too overboard. Xenon bulbs are also worth a look, as their characteristic light can also make a surprising difference. It also comes down to personal taste, as well. I'd recommend giving those things a look and going from there.

I honestly can't argue with your taste at all that is a beautiful Ranger! Enjoy!

I have a 98 that I Love and I just bought a new Tacoma and I wanna sell the Tacoma and fix up the Ranger! Go figure. Had a temporary brain fart but the Tacoma is really nice. I think that it is the nicest midsize PU on the market right now.

Back to you, LOVE IT! Good Luck with it for Many Miles!

Very nice great find. My search is for a grill guard that protects the bumper. From wrap around corner to wrap around corner. Not to concerned with what is above the bumper. Don't want to spend a lot. I feel a simple thing like this could greatly help. First I need to mount off road lights in grill. Fog lights in factory holes. The factory Fogs got pulled off before I got it. Thinking the frieght and harbor 100watt lights for in the grill. Walmart special to fill the factory holes. Happy camping.
