scale auto modeling a hobby of mine. (yea i'm a nerd) AMT released 5 different Ranger kits,
94 4X4 std cab STX promotional models (usually sold at the dealers), came in about three colors I believe, red. greenish blue, and purple
94 4X4 snap kit, which is the promotional model unassembled. molded in black.
2wd 94 Ranger splash, which is full detail with a nice 4.0 under the hood. molded in gray
94 2wd Ranger STX styleside. also full detail. came with a hideous looking body kit, molded in gray
95 2wd XLT. same as the STX kit, except its been updated to 95 standards, new dash, and different wheels, seats are still from the 94's and are incorrect. molded in gray.
The promo's are a dime a dozen. they can be found very cheap on EBAY. the snap kit seams to be rarer and does'nt show up that often. the full kits are also easy to find. but havent been in released in 13 years. there was no pre-92 Ranger kits made, there is a kit of a 1979 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper special. which was released not to long ago, but it has a ugly camper bed Ford produced back then just for people with campers.

they only did std. cabs. If you have alot of time on your hands you could get one of those std. cab 4X4 promo's, which have no engines. and either an XLT or Splash kit and modify the cab to make it an extended cab. the 4X4 have the 8ft bed, so you can modify the cab to make it an ext. cab. and use the XLT bed.
A guy who posts on a car modeling message board built this on, its being redone at this time, requires alot of work though.
