Changing the rotors on the rear of 2010 4x4 Ranger.
What is this(#3)?
It looks like it is just asking me to break it! (pun intended)
The caliper bolts are so small.

 

I believe it's a 'Brake Noise Dampener'.


Lost me on these comments...but they are telling you to torque it to 124 inch-pounds, which is just a tad over 10 foot-pounds.

So the caliper bolt goes through it?
I said the bolt looks small as it appears to be around 13 mm.
My other cars (yes they have large brakes) are around 17 mm.

 

I believe the OEM might all be one piece. I know the Raybestos aftermarket version uses a separate 'guide pin lock bolt' to sort of attach it.

If it's a true one-piece, I would assume you need to use an open end wrench or vise-grips to thread it out - But I'm not 100% sure.

Sorry...can't help much in the parts identification though....Only been under one when they were brand new.
