Great, Luke! I know you've been bummed about running stock size tires for awhile.

Can't you run 33's with a body lift cleanly? Do you already have the 32's or something?

Itz not in yet....just ordered. I guess I am a lil premature but I am excited. I have always had the money for a BL but up until now I was influenced by the ppl paying for my education not to waste money on stuff like that. Now that they realize how inexpensive a BL actually is they quit being dumb and are excited for me. Hence why I am so stoked!!!!

John you haven't seen it for a while......go look

You have no idea. The truck is finally starting to look how I want it to. I can't tell you how hard it was to not just buy the superlift. Oh well I will be graduating soon.

Hope your as happy when it's on as I was!!! I'm actually happy with my 32's and the articulation and flex that is possible with them. I will however upgrade to 33's on my next set : ) Body lift is about 5 hours of sweat and work, but it's well worth it!

5 hours of sweat and work on your brand new truck. Mine is a 2000 that originated in Michigan then went to New York. Itz gonna be rough but at least I kinda know to expect that it will be bad.

Awesome Luke, one good thing about a body lift... no rivets!

Good luck with it. If you're anywhere close when you do it, let me know, I can help out.

Summit shipped it this morning. It didn't go yesterday like they said but it will be here Monday. The plan is still to go up to D's in Buffalo and put it in. Most likely gonna be a Friday install starting at like noon.

When you say torch are you talking just a propane one or oxy-act? I know D has a pretty big compressor and a propane torch.

i used an oxy-act torch with the brazing tip on it. i held the torch on the old body bolts til it turned red then i had someone use an impact and rip the bolt out as i kept heat on the bolt. if you do this then you will not have to rig something up to hold the washer/nut that the bolt threads into.

it prolly wont go right for the first bolt as you have to know the exact time to do it, you dont want to burn/melt the rubber bushing very much.

Wouldn't you want to heat around the bolt to basically make the hole larger. Heating the bolt would make it larger and more snug. I wonder if there is a place to rent a tank since mine are at home.

You are just heating up the thread lock and rust that is all. We have done I think four BL since we found this out with no issues. The hard way is using no heat and it sucks.

Mapquest says almost 4 hours from Erie to Columbus and about 5hrs 17 min to Buffalo which is where we are gonna put it on at D's. Well that is the plan at least. If we end up doing it here I will let you know but I am betting itz kinda a hike for a lil meet like that.
