Well my dumb a$$ ordered a white CB antenna instead of a black one. I called them up and asked if I can exchange it and they said I would have to pay toship it back to them and then pay to ship it back to me.

Can I just paint it or will that mess with it?

 

I would think paint would flake off since the antenna is flexing, Could you get a rubber coating or something for it.

 

What color are you trying to make it?

i painted mine with black bumper touch up paint over 4 years ago and it hasn't flaked off yet

any non metallic paint will be fine

This is the most retarded idea I have ever heard.

Use paint made for vinyl dash repair. I painted my "fake" antenna on my car with this and it works fine. Yes I made a 'fake' antenna because I have no radio on my car and it looks lame with nothing there, so I did this with epoxy.

 

I thought the same. Then the camo duct tape idea popped into my head. I think white kinda match my chrome though.

I painted both of my WHITE ones using black spray paint for PLASTIC/RUBBER, bought it from walmart and it has been two years now and MANYYYYYYYYY car washes.

Don't forget to get the spray paint for PLASTIC!!
