Torsion Bar Q

I've been hearing, and I think it's correct, that if you've like me and only have 2wd, you can't crank your T-bars? If so..Someone PLEASE give me a complete walk-through..I don't even know where the bolt is :\

Only 2wd ranger that has T-bars is the Edge (2001-2005) or the sport (2006-present)

EDIT: Oh, and maybe the trailhead??

And how much do you think coils will run me? Especially since I think I remember reading that I'll have to change out my shocks as well?
