I looked at new F-150 today, bright blue 4.6L, shortbed FX4, regular cab,automatic. It was nice but not for 26k. They also had a 05 Ranger for 19K, yeah thats high, it was nothing special not even 4 door. Don't know mileage. I will keep my 01 with 90,000 miles on it.
Does anyone have pics of how they mounted winch on the front , with and without brushguards?

 

I thought FX4's came with 5.4's standard... or have they changed that now...

 

this had 4.6L on the sticker. Did not look at optional equipment if it was different.

 

I would double check the engine bay, I'm pretty sure FX4 is standard with 5.4. I haven't seen a regular cab FX4 either, just super cabs and screws

 

fx4 has the 5.4 standard and is not available in the regular cab for 2010. You were probably looking at an stx

 

I dont think he was talking about 09 new. You won't find a 4x4 09 for under 30k right now

 

the 5.4 in those trucks... isnt too impressive. the 4.6 is so much worse.

still nice trucks though, but yeah thats pretty expensive.

 

Yeah i got used to the 5.4 pretty quickly. For the first week it was like driving a mustang but now its just eh. its so much better than the 3.slow though

but speed wise, a bit sluggish. i pull em every time in my ranger. the new ones, and the previous gen

still sweet trucks, i definitely wouldnt mind having one for the right price. they look sooooo damn good with a lift and some baller *** rims lol

 

Add a Gryphon Programmer to the 5.4 and wakes it up big time. I bet you couldnt pull away from mine.

The canned tunes are good but wait for the custom tunes........way way better, mpg is now up in the 20mpg range.
My truck is big and heavy but i got 0-60 time of 7.33 sec.

 

I can't wait for my custom tunes. My Edge is off right now getting converted to a Gryphon and it feels like I"m driving a dump truck its so slow. My fastest 0-60 was 7.28 with exhaust and Edge

 

awesome! the canned tunes took me from 13.2 mpg average and right now it says 16.3, so i am not complaining.

 

I went and looked at new F150's last night. Oh so tempting.

 

Custom tunes will bring it back down...Hard to keep your foot out of it with them...lol

Haha I was about to say the same thing, I could get decent mileage if it wasn't so fun to drive.

 

and ill be busy cursing my 3.0 as its trying to shift up while climbing a hill a mile behind you guys, however the good news is I will be saving money on my truck insurance

 

Wait untill you get the custom tunes,you guys won't stop smiling and driving.

Haha hopefully not, my insurance just went back down! My new favorite thing is going in parking garages or underpasses and flooring it. The MBRP sounds like a freaking race car its so nice

 

Have you drove one with the new 6 speed auto?!?! They **** and get! I drove a fx4 5.4 6 speed auto. It was very quick for such a big truck
