Do a Car Fax or other check to see why the Salvage Title !
Check the brakes.
Front Hanger on rear springs, frame around the hanger.
Rear Frame where the Spring Hanger Mounts.
Tailgate lower edge is almost alway rusted especially if it is a steppie.
Under the inside edge of the Doors, rusting.
If there is a lot of rust then check the floors, if you can lift the mats/rug/rubber flooring.
Fender Flares? If so look around the edge of them too.
Just thinking out loud here…
If the price is low, then get it, if for nothing else you can get a really good Ranger and swap the interior and manual T/C and other things to the better truck and then re-sell the worst of them after swapping parts.
