Wheel Offset/Back Spacing

Wheel Offset/Back Spacing
Just got a 2010 Ranger 4x4 after previously owning a 2003 2WD Ranger, so of course I’m doing some upgrades.
Started with wanting to put a lift kit on there but only one availble was 1,700 and i wasnt ready to spend that. So I bought a 1.5” leveling kit from rough country; they say i can fit 285/75 R16’s with a 16x8 wheel after I install it. I’d like to hear your opinions on back spacing/ off setting and how far i should let those puppies stick out. Im new to the whole offsetting, but i want this thing to stance up nice so the new flowmaster has a good look to back it up. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
