Yeah, got to move were you can afford to. good luck with the Pondarosa...
A 1.000.000 watt halogen hand held lamp for every exit of the house is a good weapon too. We vacation with freinds of ours in Ramer Tenn. and when the sun goes down its like that seen in Pitch Black with Vin Diesel....Lots of sounds big city slickers never heard before....WHAT WAS THAT????

This area has no lights, is far enough out of the main city where it will be DARK and get for viewing the evening sky, wish I was there for the Blood Moon but will be for the next one, can someone say picture time.
My daughter is concerned about the sounds we will here, the coyotes, the snakes, etc, me too in a way but it is all an adventure, live with it.

The house is still in limbo, permits are a bear to get out here, understand but too tight on regulations is too much.
Purchased the new shop, should be here soon but without permits no one will get things started. So different than back home in MA, contractors would jump at the chance to do things without a permit.
My tractor and Jeep are on their way to the new house, finally.
Now I can get the driveway straightened out, fill some wash outs and drag the road and buy the post hole digger and get some fense up.
AND then there is the HOA, lucky it is only a road control HOA , just to keep things cleared, leveled and not blocked.
Maybe even the jeep, would be nice out here.
Thanks for listening.

Same here, We had the garage built 18 years ago and the village wanted $50 dollars for the permits to tear down the old one, but they wanted over $200 for the concrette permit, $300 for the new garage permit and $300 for the electrictians permit. Now I filled that garage up over our 20 years of living here...now I need a bigger garage.....Next house.....

It is alway toughest extra funding.
$2500 for a Lot Plan/Review... with the building going in in the middle omfm10 acres, why ?
We have been here for four months, living with my daughter, thank God, and we have no permits yet. I got a contractor and he is helping but still no reason for this.
I was watching the news this AM, seems added FEES are the new thing, the local hotels made 2.2 billion last year from added fees.
God help is because it will come to a place where we will not be able to do anything.
We wait, we hope for the best.

I think the right pocket was full and the left they were saving room for the new governemt loan to pay for the legal bills on all our ex-Illinois officails in the federal pokey. OH...wait thats was for the campagin donations they already counted on this election... or was it the summer blend fuel they say only four states need...

Ok here's the update... thinks move sssoooo freak'n slow in SoCal it is ridiculous !
Permit, questions about the site, HOAs, inspectors on their own schedules... and the list goes on.
The house is gutted, all the interior pieces have been purchased and await delivery, why don't I have the pemits approved ?

Im behind as always.
Here is a picture from about six months ago, the is painted but no pictures yet, it will be grey, with white trim and the Barn is, of course, RED... !
Here is a picture of the view from the front porch, not every morning but we have had 15 Hot Air Balloons up at one time,
This is a little closer view of the barn.
Still a lot of work to do but we are getting there and getting a few new mods completed on the '03 Ranger EDGE.
