Thats the truth. Ford Credit tried to give me a 11% rate, luckily I had already been to BBT who gave me a 7.25% (which is still high but I was only 19 at the time so I couldn't complain)

yea when my dad bought my mom's car he spent so much extra for some gold star warranty or something, then when the power mirrors and engine mounts went out, nothing was covered. Imo extended warranties aren't worth it

Are you sure this isnt CA emissions related? I would love to buy an X-Runner.

I wouldn't think so. Well I just checked the Toyota website and you can buy manual double cabs. Its cool though. I wanted auto.

Probably only a special order thing. It's the same way here for any vehicle now. They stock the auto's, and if you want a manual, you gotta either build and buy, or have the dealer look for you.

But before you couldn't even order it. Well either way I wanted auto. I drive quite a bit and most of the time I'm in traffic. I did it with a manual for so many years with no problem but I just didn't want another one. I'll get a fast car in a few years that will be manual.

My attitude exactly. I miss the manual, but I would hate it with how often I'm driving now. I'll swap a manual in the Ranger some day and be happy enough, lol.

The truck looks nice. Its way too rich for my blood but hey, its your money. If i had 30K sitting around id be waiting for the 2011 Mustang to come out and get me a new 5.0.

Have fun with it. Let us know how the gas milage is in those things. Ive heard conflicting stories (cousin works at a Toyota dealer and says they SUCK on fuel, but others say its not so bad) and it sounds like you keep pretty accurate records.

Yeah that was all the data from this year.

So far I'm getting a little bit better MPG than the Ranger. Not bad since its a bigger truck and it still hasn't broken in.

One minor problem with the truck. I think I have a bad U joint. When I mash the gas the truck vibrates. It was worse when I had the quad in the back. No worries though. I'll take it in and see what the deal is. The truck uses a 2 piece rear shaft like the earlier Rangers.

first i wanna start by saying that sir is a gorgeous truck. i think you saw mine i posted a few days ago. the red 2002. my dad has 08 tacoma trd sport ext. cab, white, auto. its got the hood scoop and color matched bumper/grille. they are quick trucks for the motor they have. i dont know if you opened yours up yet, but hands down i guarantee its gonna suprise you for what it is. the 0-60 is right around 6seconds. which i will say is quite quick for a truck. i love my yota, holds its value amazing, and fun to drive.

as far as your "vibrating" do not be alarmed at all, my dads does it too, and they told him it was just a mixture of the 2 peice driveshaft, and his limited slip. his is the sport edition. as far as MPG he is averaging 18.6 around slow traffic town. i do reccomend when you get some extra money, get the trd dual exhaust. night and day difference, and sounds pretty nice. also i love the tail lights they put on the 09, and in 09 they slightly tinted the headlights. look at 08's head lights compared to 09 you'll notice it. i couldnt tell at first until i really paid attention.

anyways, enjoy the truck, i know i enjoy driving my dads truck.

good luck.

My cousin has the TRD edition on his Trail Teams FJ and it does sound really good. Nice and mild with a good rumble.
