t-bar clarification

so i know the sticky that refers to this site, http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...orsionBar.html but what bolt do you turn? i looked under my truck, and i didn't see anything that looked like what the instructions said... does anyone have a picture of the t-bars, and possibly an ms paint arrow put onto it?

1 if you hate your tires alignment isn't important.

2a the pass side will left higher due the lack of weight on that side of the truck. You will need to tighten, drive around, and measure. To verify your level side to side.
2b you can wear the ball joints faster by lifting, or so people say.

A lot of guys cranked them up all the way. I just leveled my truck to clear taller rubber.

FWIW, i needed new bars 50k after i lifted it. Im not sure how long they are suppose to last.

i would only crank them 4 turns per side. that will keep it level, its moderate, and you wont wear out stuff as fast.

get an alignment when you buy your next set of tires.

i've got 62,000km (38,000ish miles) on a set of factory lvl II bfg tires, they apparently are good to about 110 000km (65,000 miles) also with my warranty, the dealer was saying they will void it if they think i'm messign with it too much, which they mentioned lifts...

how much will 4 cranks lift me up?

Cranking the bars isn't an actual lift. Shoot, in the ford maintenence books, the cure for sagging ride height is cranking those adjustment bolts...that's what they're there for.

4 full rotations of the adjustment bolt should be right about 1.5" or so I'd say. I really don't remember...my bars have been maxed for quite some time.

Cranking them moderately won't cause much wear issues at all...4 turns is moderate. I tend to go through tires like crazy, but I got almost 50k out of a set of used good year mt/r's and I've never aligned my truck since I lifted it. lol.

i realize it's not techinically a lift, but if i can do it free, and it makes the truck sit higher, i'm doin it! lol
