Scangauge question

iight i just got mine in the mail yesterday from Trent and well i love it..wish i had one earlier but there are some gauges i have no idea what they are..

i searched got a few but not all of them..

anybody got a list and the letter symbols?

Oh your probably wondering about the x-gauges I put in. The TQ is torque, HPR is horsepower, TRN is transmission, FL is fuel level. I think thats it

Not really custom, just ones you can add that don't come on it stock. I didn't add senders or anything like that for them.

Theres a menu option, you just enter like 4-5 different number codes you can get off scangauges website.

i was getting werid numbers and finally found the engine thingy and was still set on 3.0 blah!

nope was still on 3.0 i need to write all the codes on an index card im never going to remember them all lol

how do you get the horsepower reading to be accurate? it said my 3.0 was hitting 180 hp...

Yeah I got mine to read 200 a couple of times lol. Its reading engine horsepower so it might be higher than what is actually put to the wheels.

where does it read the HP from? i got on it yesterday and had it read 260 yesterday..and was thinking thats way higher then the OEM stock info -- i mean i know ive got a programmer and crap but it seemed high

I don't know how it calculates it either, but I got the F150 to read 345 one day with the 93 octane tune on a cold dry day!
Stock tuning I got it to 299.

Guy at Linear Logic, makers of the Scangauge, said that the horsepower rating is at the flywheel without accessories. I don't base my actual horsepower off of it but it will give you a baseline for when you do mods.
