Slide-in or Self contained campers

Does anyone own a slide-in camper that fit our trucks? Or do any of you have any experience with one?
Examples:

Northstar TC700

Phoenix PULSE Self Contained
http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/t...elf-contained/

Thanks,
Chris

I would think the rear suspension of a Ranger will not handle it.

Reinforce the Frame, add some HD springs and shocks, maybe.

By the time you get there with Ranger mods, you might as well have bought a larger truck.

Why would you have to reinforce the frame?

Yeah you don't have to do this. You could get some load bearing shocks and stiffer springs but it is not necessary.

Just my opinion.

Ranger frames are not the heaviest duty frame.

Considering these things weigh only 750-1200 lbs dry, I don't see why a properly equipped truck couldn't handle it. Some of these are designed specifically for the Ranger size trucks.

my neighbor has one with a crank up top. he said it was for a ranger or s10. i looked at it but i think it would crush my truck. it looks like it would fit in the truck but i would not want to haul it.

If the truck saged you could get air bags for it so that it sat level.

It could work but I would rather pull a small camper so it would be more convenient.
