Slide-in or Self contained campers

Does anyone own a slide-in camper that fit our trucks? Or do any of you have any experience with one?

I would think the rear suspension of a Ranger will not handle it.

Reinforce the Frame, add some HD springs and shocks, maybe.

By the time you get there with Ranger mods, you might as well have bought a larger truck.

Why would you have to reinforce the frame?

Just my opinion.

Ranger frames are not the heaviest duty frame.

Considering these things weigh only 750-1200 lbs dry, I don't see why a properly equipped truck couldn't handle it. Some of these are designed specifically for the Ranger size trucks.

my neighbor has one with a crank up top. he said it was for a ranger or s10. i looked at it but i think it would crush my truck. it looks like it would fit in the truck but i would not want to haul it.

My dad built one years ago for his 98 ranger, plywood outside, foam sheating then camo material. Slept 2 comfortably. him on the bed, me on the floor. Ill try to ask him if hes got any pics of it.
