My 100 dollar ranger.
Well, it started with me looking for gen3 rangers.. Called and arranged to look at about 3 or 4 and I called the arranged day to look at the trucks just to be told that the truck has been sold. Anyway long story short my buddy works with a guy who had a 92 ranger with a messed up trans and I bought it for 100. Did a little preliminary inspection and the only major problems outside of the trans was a little bit of cab rust, leaky oil pan gasket and cab mounts broken. It seems to be a "mechanically" well maintained truck. Bought it sunday, Traded my friend who owns a trans shop my old trans for a low mileage m5 with a clutch, and everything I needed for 100 bucks. The tires are shot so I decided to steal the mesh bbs wheels from my mark 7 parts car and use my 225/60/16s which ive collected three sets from work... The trans is going in tomorrow night along with oil pan gasket and wheels and tires. Here's a picture of the truck as it sits. Should look nice with the new wheels. Will post pics along the way.

yup i agree... when i bought my GMC s15 it was siezed up so had to drop the oil pan.. haha ya good luck getting that out all the 4wd crap was in the way, so since we were in there we replaced the oil pump too, but did it blind(couldnt see what we were doing) and had to do it all by feel.. ya we had oil/grease up to our shoulders that day!!!!

I pulled the motor mount nuts off the top and lifted the engine up to clear the oil pump pickup. The gasket was absolutely wasted. I got the trans in and the new wheels on.(pics tomorrow). Noticed when the wheels were off that the rotors have been turned a couple million times. lol. To add to that the pads are GONE so the pedal goes to the floor. More than likely will be doing rotors and pads this weekend. I also fixed the rusted core support bracket. Moving along nicely so far. Just need to remove the cap so I can put the rf sticker on!!!!
