Gibson vs jba

Anyone have an opinion as to if one is better then the other for headers? I'm looking at putting new headers in my 02, 2wd, 3.0 ranger. The costs were alot different when comparing the two, but is the quality missing as well?

jba is stainless steel on their base unit. they switched to ss about 6 months ago. gibson is mild steel, extra $$ for stainless steel.

other than that it is probably similar flow/design.

agreed.. design is limited to what fits.. not a whole lot of room as you can see

i heard that new headers don't help your truck out much performance-wise, unless you've done some serious modding to your truck. Your stock headers are pretty good already.

i beg to differ. 07 4.0 xlt i put JBA headers on it, and mid range is way more noticeable! well worth the money in my opinion!
i need to fix my exhaust leak tho b/c i lost some of the bolts :( ha so the drivers side is missing 2 bolts on top next to each other and 1 on the bottom. i stripped out the hole in the head so i have to buy a tap and re-thread it.

PIA to install.. but i also did it with crap for tools. like 6 3" extensions and 1 swivle ha. they dont affect the sound to much thru a stock muffler.

well worth the money in my opinion. ill load some pictures of the JBA's compared to factory sunday.
