Hey everyone, I've got an 06 ranger fx4 and I'd like to put a front receiver hitch on for getting my boat in and out of my tight yard. I see Hidden Hitch makes one for an 05 that hides the receiver nicely in that big hole in the valence, but they don't list it for a 2006 model. My question is.. is there any differences between the frame from 05 to 06 that would be an issue if i just ordered the hidden hitch for an 05?

From looking at pics of 05 models, they look damn near identical. I dont want to buy one of those others that requires removing the skid plate...seriously, what is wrong with them, we buy a 4x4 for a reason damnit.

 

Should not be any diffs. No change except cosmetic. And the OEM skid plate is not built to stand all that much, so if you cannot get it back after the hitch, just get some diamond plate or metal of your choice and get it fabbed up.

 

The only front hitches that are made for our trucks anymore hang below the bumper, they no longer go in that hole. If you want one that does you'll have to find someone selling one or build one yourself.
