My truck was attacked (pics inside)
Yeah.. so tonight, me and like 12 or 13 friends all had tickets to some motocross thing thats here this weekend. we all meet at our shop, then piled into 3 cars, and left. when we left... the weather was kinda overcast... mainly just cloudy, and getting cold.. that was it.
well, 5 hours later we get home and notice it has really gotten worse out, with wind and snow falling sideways and stuff (trees on the roads, dusting of snow, cars upside down in ditches.. etc.) we get back to our shop around 12:30, to find our damn basketball net laying behind my truck. immediately i thought of leo's truck, and was like... oh no. thankfully, it doesn't look as bad.
here's the damage..
first pic shows the gash it left. it's really deep, and about the size of a finger.
second pic shows it from a side shot.. that's not snow or anything, that's fiber glass strands built up from the impact of the pole.
third pic is from further back.. just to show the basketball net laying there guilty.

but.... i ddnt plan on knowing we were gonna have strong winds all night and experience hell freezing over. i left and all was good... calm. came back to crap like that..
the net was filled with sand and had a backhoe bucket laying on the back of it (you can see the bucket in the last pic, laying on the ground). but yeah, no excuses, im gonna pay a visit to that basketball net soon with a forklift.

You're lucky. My dad parked my 85 Ranger beside the volleyball net one day when I was out of town. When I got back, one of the poles from the volleyball court was laid over on the side of my truck. Busted out the window and put one heck of dent in my door. Also, it had rained all night the night before I got home. The truck was soaked on the inside.
The poles were home made. 3" steel pipe with a tire and rim filled with concrete for a base. Apparently the wind got pretty bad, don't know how else it would've tipped over.
