What are the gens of the ranger and pics? i know there use to be a thread about this once before but i cant find it anywhere?

 

Someone will correct me on the first gen, but I believe:

GEN 1 = '83-'88
GEN 2 = '89-'92
GEN 3 = '93-'97
Gen 4 = '98-'00
Gen 5 = '01- present

 

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it's:

GenI 83-88


GenII 89-92


GenIII 93-97 (mine. hehe:))


GenIV 98-2000


GenV 01+


Not sure if the 04's and up are considered GenV's or GenVI.

ok thanks guys i was in the same delima. i didnt know if the 04's and up were a gen 6 or still 5

Gen 4's look the best, a combo of stylish looks and an "I like it dirty" attitude.

i like the Gen V. the 4x4s look sweet and mean cuz of the styling cues

 

I like the edge the best. Very clean looking.

 

Gen 3 is mine and i love it haha!!!!!!!!!

speaking of these here generations...anyone seen extreme 4x4 where in the first show they talked about two ranger projects and on this weeks show they started on a gen IV and converting it into an extreme offroader. HP tv built a 347 for it. gonna be very sweet. and someone was asking about dual fuel cells? theyre gonna put dual cells on the project ranger. o the show is on spike tv on saturdays and sundays
