Icon4 need cb help quick

just bought a cobra cb and need help finding a 12 volt accesory location. is it on my fuse pannel? also how do i connect it to the 12 volt location? thanks in advance

splice it into your cig lighter from the back then it will always have power when you want it on and when its not in use you can turn it off. Its worked well for me and Lord of War both

so should i just wrap the two and heat shrink wrap it then

On your truck, idk if the cig lighter is a 12v constant. I'd look around for an in-cab location to splice into. If none is found, route the wire directly to the batter. You just need a ground and 12v positive.

DO NOT just strip, twist the two together, and tape. nonono. Do it right by using either connectors or do the twist, solder them, and heat shink.

the wire isnt long enough so ill need to go get more

You will need more wire and connectors go through the firewall somewhere take your time do it right ya know

Ring terminal on the battery terminal. get more wire(16 or 18ga). butt connectors. ring terminal to ground the cb on your frame, fender, whatever. self tapper for that too.
