Wide angle rearview mirror

Has anybody ever installed one in a Ranger?

My friend has one in his GTI, and after driving it, going back to my stock rearview mirror felt constricted.

I know there are various types, but are they all pretty basic to install? Take the old one down and replace with new?

I understand it's not exactly a must have, but I just wonder how beneficial it could be. I mean I don't use to back up, but when I'm driving the wide angle would give you a better view behind you when you glance up.

I didn't realize the Expo rearview was wider, that might be something for me to look into.

I'm still curious if anyone has done it. Wide angle mirrors are pretty cheap

I have one of the cheap clip on wide angle rear view mirrors in my 2001 super cab XLT and I wouldn't change it for the world. I can see behind me from berm to berm going down the highway and an added bonus is that I don't seem to need to adjust like before when the lights at night coming up behind are bright.
