In 2010 toyota upgraded the Tundras base engine, from a 4.7 liter to the 4.6 with 310 horsepower. This new engine goes 0-60 in 7.9 according to insidline, while the Ranger does it 8.3. So going by specs, Tundra wins, but thats still a close match. You go back one year, and that base 4.7 engine only makes 275 horses and 0-60 in 8.5 seconds.
Though if it has 5.7 engine than obviously no contest. What really bothers me is that new 4.6 is rated at 15/20 mpg. What the hell, why does it have better mileage than my Ranger haha.
