Looking at buying my second ranger. This one will be a 4x4 hunting truck/play toy.
I have found 94 Supercab XLT 163000k but the guy says that its from upstate New York and has rust issues. Tailgate is rusted out and the spring perches have been replaced. Is this truck a goner?

A 94 from up here with 163K is going to have rust issues alright.The frame is probably half gone as well.
$1500 ? more like $150 .

 

thats what I was worried about. I knew the shackles had problems but I wasn't 100% if there was frame rot also associated with rangers

 

the only way to know is to get under there and look.
