Strange whining sound

Okay all, I've got a question.

So for a while now, I've had some really weird sounds coming out of my truck. The first is a crazy knocking coming from the engine, and it's most noticeable from the lower left, like by the driver side wheel. It's loud even when the hood is closed. It eventually goes away after the truck gets warmed up, but it might just get a lot softer - not totally sure.

The other sound is a loud whine. This one confuses me to no end. It starts when I get up to about 35 mph and gets much quieter after i get past 65 mph. I'm not really sure why. could this have anything to do with my fuel pump by chance? When I take my foot off the accelerator the whining sound stops, but then when I put my foot back on it starts again. The sound follows my foot being on the accelerator. When I take it off it stops instantly. Put my foot on, starts right up again, so it doesn't do it when I coast.

This is confusing the hell out of me. Anyone have any insight? Seems like it's going to be expensive to fix...

Idle air control valve maybe??
The knocking, um maybe a rod going bad?

same thing is going on with me and my 2wd right now!!! i realy havent tried anything yet i thought it was my transmission but does it make your truck feel like its lost any power or any weird things like that and i got a small ticking noise coming from the driver side fender too and its not a rod knocking cuz i took it to a mechanic and got everything checked and he honestly didnt know what was going on... but then again he might be a idiot and i havent tried going to any other mechanics lately

Yeah it doesn't feel too powerful, but the 2.5L 4 banger doesn't even have half a ********, so I don't know if I can say that it lost any power over time. It's pissing me off though. It's not a stuck lifter I know for sure, so I don't know.

ima run to about 5 differnt mechanics that i know and get a differnt opinion from all of them and possibly find the problem and fix it if im lucky i got the 3.0 but seems like we haver the same problem i was thinking it might be the fan clutch and i know we both have fan clutches and maybe yours is sticking too but that doesnt explain the ticking noise... but will definitaly explain the annoying fan noise..
