The uws boxes are pretty nice. Deflectashield also makes a box that will fit your flareside. Or you could alwasys just go to a tractor supply and buy a box that fits in your bed. I will get some pics up for you of my old Deflectashield box.

I don't know why the picture is coming up so small now. I am linking from cardomain and they have never been small like that before.

I have a UWS box that I bought on ebay for $50. It's the best $50 that I ever spent....LOL

I love the box. I have had no problem with it at all. Even holds a nice seal at the powerwash station.

I have a couple of buddies with the deflectashield box's, and I think that UWS makes a better reliable box.

Check out tractor supply company..
They sell a nice one that fits...
its something like 315$ in anadized(sp? black) aluminum diamond plate.
The lock mechanism is pretty good. double insulated.. etc.

I forget the brand but they have about 4 models..
anadized .. and standard alum diamond plate.
Deep.. and regular
http://www.mytscstore.com/default.asp
They normally offer 10% off if you get their credit card..
thats what I did.. paid if off same month then shredded the card :)

Call the store.. they dont list it on the website.

EDIT: I think Lowe's also has one that fits..

Those are called low profile, btw, and then flush is the kind that actually sits IN your bed. The toolbox i have now is a regular sit delta, it has some miles on it but the seal is still PERFECT! not a single drop of moisture has touched the inside since i bought it from my friend. However, i'm not sure about the application to what you're looking for but Delta is a great brand name to go with!

I have a low profile box by Delta I got at Lowes. Its not for a flareside but I am sure they make them. I love mine because it doesnt block any view from the rear.
Be careful though. I have beat mine to death by hauling suff in the bed. The seal is shot because of the large dents and I get dust in the summer and snow in the winter in the box.

Remember you get what you pay for.

I did a little searching and found that the boxes with -SPLA in their part number are for the Ranger Splash which is a flareside. I'm going to look into the Delta and DeeZee boxes tonite.

It locks great as far as I can tell. I have never had any problems. Seals Great..I actualy wash my truck once a week and there is never any leaks. Oh yeah. My friend has the same toolbox I do...He can open my toolbox and I can open his. We have the same keys. I don't know if it works that way with all UWS boxes. Maybe just same model numbers have the same keys.
Hope this helps.

Thanks that all i wanted to know, Ill go with the UWS then.

Tbarcya The UWS company carries a gullwing for the stepside, one of the few ive found, theres alot out for a styleside but not any that fit good and look nice for the stepside. Alot of the ones I've been finding all hang over the edge way too much
