heater core

Over the past month i've had the symptoms of a heater core on it's way out. fog coming out of the vents. A sweet smell inside the truck. come this morning i start the truck with my remote start and have a surprise waiting for me on the passenger side interior floor.

if you keep it, you will have to pull the dash to replace it!

Not saying the heater core is your fault... but a lot of the problems with your truck are because you beat the **** out of it, lol. Every time I see one of your threads, I think... poor truck. Good luck getting it fixed up or getting rid of it or whatever.

Also, not cool if you don't let the next owner know what's wrong with it and leave a big nasty surprise for them.... just sayin.

The tranny was slipping and shuddering from day one. the previous owner towed with it. u could just pour stop leak in her and clog up the leak.

I meant the damaged crossmember, the flooding.. the oil on the seats, and the million other things that poor truck has endured. If you love the truck, fix it and keep it. If not, sell it, but tell whoever you're selling it to what they're getting into. I'd just hate to see someone get ripped off because you enjoy playing hard and dirty, lol.

What I don't get is when Ford redesigned the dash in 95 they didn't keep the simplistic way to change the heater core. The 90 to 94 model's heater core can be replaced in less than an hour. Just because you have to become airbag compliant doesn't mean you have to muck up the best parts of a design.

Sorry bout the leak.
