OHC paint color

Need a little help here. Just about to paint the OHC I received today to prep it for installation later this week. I have an 02 with a dark gray interior. I need to find the correct dark gray paint to cover the existing tan on the OHC. Anyone know the proper color and type paint to use to accomplish this? TIA

I would just use Krylon fusion black plastic paint. If you use the Dark Graphite (your interior color) paint it will be Acrylic or Enamel paint and it would want to adhere to the plastic. Plus it will be kinda expensive.

Graphite is the color, not the paint material. The Acyclic and Enamel is the type of paint so it would no adhere.

My advise is to get one out of a newer explorer or sport trac they make them in the charcoal grey.

Mine for example

sem dyes have a factory match. i think the dark grey (charcoal) match is SEM dark graphite #17073. might go to a local paint shop to double check.
