Hmm, something to think about - haven't tried the high mileage synthetic or synthetic blend yet.

I used conventional for the first 30,000 kilometers or so (about 20,000 miles) - since then I've run primarily (full) synthetic, though I have interchanged that with conventional oil, or synthetic blend on occasion.

So far, so good - no major engine problems, still doesn't burn a drop of oil, still no leaks, with over 325,000 kilometers (a bit over 200,000 miles) on the clock.

Main thing is, I change the oil and filter every 5,000 km/3,000 miles like clockwork.
