Ranger towing with the new 4.10s!

I did the 8.8 4.10 swap on my Ranger. Couldnt be happier. my 4 banger finally has 5 useable gears again!!!

the rear end is squatting just a bit, i want to throw in explorer leafs at some point. So far i just have the 3" BL, i have 2" coil spacers waiting to go in, just gonna wait to buy some new shocks first.

Just wait till winter and the Torsen engages on you hahaha, it's a wild ride. Take her to a parking lot as soon as you get a good snow cover. A little gas and some wheel slip and it'll put you sideways. Just remember IT ONLY LOCKS WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS. As soon as you let of the throttle it will open back up :)

Looks good man! The torsen is a little too unpredictable for me....

Yea, get to spinning a little and let out of it and hold on...no telling which way its gonna go. 2 wheel drive is useless on ice or snow.

HAHA I had zero problems last winter with it. It it started to lose it in the back I just let off the gas and punched down on the clutch to cut power. If you don't let off the throttle though you are in for some crazy spin outs.

Got used to positive traction in a mustang and when I got my first ranger it was totally different spinning tires on a truck...big suprise. Alot more fun spinning both tires though.

The torsen doesn't always catch. When a wheel loses too much traction its just as bad as an open diff. So sometimes the rear will slide out other times just one will spin

Besides my dads truck, which weighs a ton and has ATs and traction control, the only vehicle I've driven with LS is my Torsen Ranger so I assumed they were all like that. I agree though, sometimes it doesn't lock up. I believe they are a lot more responsive with manuals though.

Definitely a difference between manual and automatic, my first 8.8 limited slip ranger was a 5 speed, much more predictable
