got exhaust

Yep finnally today i got my flowmaster 40 series. sounds really good at low rpm, wish it sounded like that in the upper rpms, i wont be able to get any pictures or anything right at the moment, but the guy had said the muffler will get louder when it breaks in. When does the muffler break in? and what will i expect when it does? thanks guys.

not sure about your flowmaster, but when I had my borla installed it was really quiet and almost sounded ricey. Now that its broke in it sounds louder and deeper. I'd say it took a couple weeks to break mine in, but I dont drive much either.

Congrats on getting the exhaust put on. Definately one of my favorite mods. I don't remember how long it took for my muffler to break in, but I don't think it too very long.

Most all mufflers have a 3-5k break in period.

been about 2 weeks and it has definitely gotten a little louder, but im still hearing that ''hum'' inside the cab are all flowmaster 40 series sound like that on the rangers? i also have a head cold so that could be the problem too lol so im basically deaf in my left ear right now but yeah im just curious. i dont want passengers to think i have a coffee can lol. it sounds pretty good overall though. if anyone knows what im talking about please reply! thanks again.

Really? Then I guess my Borla still hasn't broken in since I only average to fill up once every two weeks on gas.
