Torsen questions

Ok, so basically for my mechanical engineering class I am going to build a a torsen l/s diff. in SolidWorks. I want to make the one thats in the Ranger so atleast I'll have an interest in it.

I digress, I have been scouting for some schematics but have come up dry. I really want some inside pics and even some measurements if possible. I checked TRS and didnt find anything useful. How Stuff works has been a gold mine, I know that!

Its either this or a Rotary motor. But I'd rather do this.

Thanks in advance!

Sophmore :( Basically we have to make something to illustrate a mechanical prinicpal, or something like that. This should suffice, as long as I'm not in over my head. I think I'm going to Email them and ask if they have any drawings/schematics of the T-2 availaible. I see they have a T-1 there.

I'll help if I can too! I'm only a soph. ME but I've got some experience with solidworks. This sounds like fun!

Yeah, I'm pretty excited to get to the final product and see it all working in harmony without several error messages. I Emailed them about additional information such as a spec. sheet, so We'll see how it goes. I will definately keep you two in my sights because I'm sure to have something down the road to throw me for a loop.

Ranger Rick on ORR works for Torsen and I think holds some of the patents.
