I just saw this on SuperTrux.com. Has anybody had or heard of this? I'm gettin a BL after Christmas, thought this was interesting.

 

Performance Acc. used to make aluminum body lifts. I had one on my 88 ranger and when the guy I sold it to tried to take it off all of the bolts were seized to the blocks, just something to think about.

 

the nylon blocks work fine for me

 

nylon blocks seem to work fine for me too

and no one will really see the blocks anyways.. my opinoin is to save your money, but do what u want

the bl for my 99 was only like 150

 

it wouldnt be hard to make blocks like that...

 

It is called galvanic corossion. When you have two dissimilar metals in contact. Steel is more noble or Cathodic than Aluminum which is more Anodic. In reality they should be isolated from each other with a rubber gasket. I would just stick to the nylon blocks. Sorry for the Materials lesson but I just got an A in my advanced materials class so I figured I would put this semesters knowledge to good use.

That's what I was thinkin'. I'm not goin' to buy 1, you have to be in LA to get it fitted anyway. I just couldn't figure out the point of having an aluminum BL.
Making sure I wasn't missin' something.

Would ride exactly the same. They are ridgid mounts.
