painting differential cover....

painting differential cover....

I was thinkin of painting my diff cover, however, i am curious to hear from those that have done this, and how well their paint jobs have held up?

if you do it right: sand to bare metal/prime/paint/clear coat, then you shouldn't have a problem with it......and as long as you keep it clean, it will look good...

looked good for about a year or so.. then got a chrome cover that was a joke.. painted that black now

same as everyone else... it looked good for a while but now it's chipping. all i did was lightly sand mine... then 3 coats primer, 3 coats paint.

NOTE: if you do paint it... don't be an idiot like me and take a pressure washer to it... the pressure washer will win, lol.

Mine looked great for a while, but I had a chunck chip off then I scrapped off all the loose stuff off and hit it with the spray paint again and it looks good.

It won`t last I sanded primed and painted a ford symbol on mine . Lasted about a year then it peeled. now it`s black again
