Noob Question about BL

Ofcourse you all know the FX4 Level II comes with a front skid plate. When the truck is body lifted, is this still functional? Does anyone have a close up of the front, with skid, after a body lift? It would seem as if you would see the top of it, where it ends... but I guess that is just a thought. Any other special things you need to do to body lift a Level II Automatic? I body lifted my 05 XLT 4x4 Manual, had no problems, just hated the shifter extension design. Anything different to do with the Level II Auto compared to it (same year model)?

Nope nothing different, you'll have to cut the valance for the tow hooks though.

the only years you will see where the skid plate ends up top is the 98-00 bumpers, anything 01+ you will not see the skid plate.. i had to modify mine on the 2000 bumper so its not seen...

on the auto and body lift its actually better then the manual trucks just need to make sure the auto cable isnt pulled to tight if it is reroute it a little bit.. all of them have enough length

Dont cut the valance..I did and it was nothing but an eyesore IMO and bought a new one. Either relocate them like 04Edge did or just leave them off.

leaving tow hooks off could be the worst advice ever!

well unless you just crawl speed bumps like me.

I left mine off and used the mounting points for my skid,I plan on building a front hitch in the future that will be alot stronger than the factory tow hooks.
